Chibi Doll Coloring & Dress Up

ARPAPLUS combined a colouring book with a character maker, and on chibi proportions that combination works better than it does on realistic figures. The areas are large and simple, so a fill reads cleanly and the colouring stage produces something that looks finished rather than approximate.

Glitter fills are available alongside flat colour and are worth using sparingly — one glittered area against several flat ones reads as a highlight, while glitter everywhere reads as noise.

The styling stage follows and behaves like a normal wardrobe, except that the base you are styling is now one you made. That changes the accessory decisions, because they are being chosen against your palette rather than against a default.

Controls

Select a colour or glitter fill and tap areas, then move to the clothing rows.

How to Play

  1. Colour the largest areas first with flat fills.
  2. Add glitter to one area only.
  3. Check for unfilled fragments before styling.
  4. Choose clothing that works with the palette you created.

Tips & Tricks

Limit glitter to a single area. It is the loudest fill available, and using it twice cancels out the emphasis it gave you the first time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I colour?

The chibi character itself, with flat colours or glitter fills across each area.

Does styling come before or after colouring?

After. The wardrobe is chosen against the palette you created rather than against a default figure.
