ARPAPLUS made a point of the uniform not having to be boring, and the collection backs that up: shirts, jackets, skirts and hats are stocked with enough variation that a uniform base can be taken in genuinely different directions.
That is the exercise. Everyone in a school setting is wearing roughly the same thing, so the styling happens in the margins — how the shirt is worn, what the jacket adds, whether a hat changes the register entirely.
Makeup and hairstyle are available alongside the clothes and are where the biggest differences between friends can be made. Building the group so that they read as a set rather than as a queue is the version worth doing.

Work in the margins. When the base is fixed by a school setting, the jacket, the hat and the hairstyle are the only variables left — and they are enough if you use all three.
