Shopping Mall Princess begins at the end of a long walk. Two princesses have already been round every shop in the mall, and they have narrowed it down: they want beautiful dresses, shoes and handbags, and they want them from two particular stores.

That makes the game a pair of visits rather than one big wardrobe. You go into the first princess’s chosen shop and help her pick the perfect clothes, then switch to the second princess and do the same in her favourite store. Each shop is her own pick, so the two looks naturally come out different.

The interesting part is keeping each princess true to the store she picked. A girl who chose that shop presumably likes what it sells, so the outfit should look like her style rather than yours. Oscar Intermed keeps the item list to three categories — dress, shoes, handbag — which keeps each visit short and makes the handbag a real decision rather than an afterthought.

1. Enter the first princess's favourite shop.
2. Pick a dress, shoes and a handbag for her.
3. Move on to the second princess and her chosen store.
4. Put together her outfit from that shop's items.

Choose the handbag last and let it pick up a colour from the dress or shoes. It is the piece that ties a three-item outfit together.
